Writing Promos (IWF Standards)...
NEW UPDATE BY THE MATCHSTICKGEEZER: Please can you put
...
Between lines when you want spaces.... as I usually do this myself and it takes ages.
Ideally you should never have more than 5 lines in a paragraph as it makes it look too cluttered... so when putting the feud up in the final feuds area please split speech etc into smaller paragraphs (See how I have done it on the older shows!!"
Just .... will do. If you just leave a space it will cluster up in the game! dot dot dot it should be!!
Thanks alll.... The Matchstickgeezer
This is just a little info about writing promo's according to IWF standards.
If possible try and color code the promo's you write correctly and bold/italic all the important stuff, etc...
Also if you have a word processing software do a spell/grammar check before you post your promo and save us some work by doing it for you.
Centering all the text in the promo is always nice and looks more like in the shows...
IWF Standards:
ps. You can always watch an old show and see how the segments have been done before.

IWF Standards:
Color code for plain narrative text is #008000.
This is an example of plain narrative text, color code #008000. All wrestler names must be completely spelled out (no shortend nick names) and in bold. Examples: The Legend Killer Boy, not TLKB, etc...
Gimmick items, phrases, insults, other words with special importance, etc... must be in bold, italic and inside citation marks (').
Examples: 'Frak', 'Loser', 'Reign of Pain'.
List of color codes:
Goodie's = #0000FF. If there's more than one goodie, the second uses this color, #3366FF and third uses, #008080.
Baddie's = #FF0000. If there's more than one baddie, the second uses this color, #FF6633 and third uses, #FF9900.
Mr.T = #993300
Jimbob and Gordon Freeman = #000080.
Diva = #FF00FF
Managers... 'Baddie managers' = #800000 or #993300. 'Goodie managers' = #000080.
Championship titles have a special color, #FF9900, and are always in bold.
Example: IWF: Heavyweight Champion, IWF: Junior Champion.
IWF, The General Manager and The Matchstickgeezer also have a special color, #800080 and always in bold.
(no shortening to GM or MSG)
Example of spoken text (don't forget the quote (") marks):
Adama: "Says 'Frak' to all IWF Superstars!"
It's Ok to shorten names in spoken words.
Tony2Awesome: "I'm going to destroy you Matt!"

All it takes is ONE that watches the show that doesn't...
So we'll stick with full names as much as possible.

Re: Writing Promos (IWF Standards)...
In that case... Maybe a simple black, #000000, or a dark grey, #333333, will be fine.JTG wrote:The Matchstickgeezer if you have check my last RP i use a camera man what colour should i give him?
We sometimes improvise the colors in order to make the segments look 'good' anyways.

There's a limited number of colors we can use (in the show editor) and some of them, like yellow, is very hard to read, so we are forced to use some colors twice.
Improvise... Use a color that's almost red (or red twice), we'll do the rest when we add the segment to the show.chipsi wrote:What if there is more than 3 heels??
